Greetings, We're so
happy you stopped by our website. We'd love to give you a brief introduction
to our products. Don't forget to check out our image gallery! We have an
orchard of 9000 trees in On the
farming front, we have been growing cantaloupes, tomatoes, onions, and more.
In 2006, the USDA certified a portion of our farm for organic cultivation. We have organic turnips and Austrian sweet
peas presently, and will have other vegetables and herbs growing in the 2007
summer. We firmly
believe in the support of local farmers for many reasons. Local farming is the only source for truly
“fresh” produce. When it is
right-off-the-farm-fresh, you can taste the difference. You won’t believe it until you try it for
yourself! Beyond the flavor, the
nutritional value of locally grown fresh produce far exceeds what is found in
any grocery store. After produce is
harvested, the flavors and nutrients begin to decay immediately. The sooner you can consume it, the better
it tastes, and the better it is for your body. When you consume farm-fresh produce, you drastically reduce the
amount of time that it has to diminish its quality. Produce found in the grocery store has most
likely been harvested out of state, packed, shipped, unpacked, and displayed;
a process which could take weeks before consumption. Our farm-fresh produce goes directly from
the ground, into your kitchen. Enthusiastically, The Bergen
Family (farming in
Oklahoma since 1894)
