Greetings,

We're so happy you stopped by our website. We'd love to give you a brief introduction to our products. Don't forget to check out our image gallery!

We have an orchard of 9000 trees in Stratford that we planted in 2000. The summer of 2003 was our first harvest season.  Since then, our harvest has grown in size and quality.  We have refined our methods to maximize freshness and consistency.  Post harvest, we treat them first by cleansing them, then hydro chilling them. This removes all present fungal spores and bacteria to prolong the life of this delicate fruit.  We then dry them, and sort them by grade.  A small percentage of our harvest is sent to a co-packer in Talequah, Oklahoma.  From there, we have developed a wonderful jarred product line. Each jar has over 1 lb of our exquisite peaches in it. We've had great reviews of our products and look forward to making many more happy customers!

On the farming front, we have been growing cantaloupes, tomatoes, onions, and more. In 2006, the USDA certified a portion of our farm for organic cultivation.  We have organic turnips and Austrian sweet peas presently, and will have other vegetables and herbs growing in the 2007 summer.

We firmly believe in the support of local farmers for many reasons.  Local farming is the only source for truly “fresh” produce.  When it is right-off-the-farm-fresh, you can taste the difference.  You won’t believe it until you try it for yourself!  Beyond the flavor, the nutritional value of locally grown fresh produce far exceeds what is found in any grocery store.  After produce is harvested, the flavors and nutrients begin to decay immediately.  The sooner you can consume it, the better it tastes, and the better it is for your body.  When you consume farm-fresh produce, you drastically reduce the amount of time that it has to diminish its quality.  Produce found in the grocery store has most likely been harvested out of state, packed, shipped, unpacked, and displayed; a process which could take weeks before consumption.  Our farm-fresh produce goes directly from the ground, into your kitchen.

Enthusiastically,

The Bergen Family
